During the day there is a children's parade and a big Fête Nationale parade in the evening along Notre Dame Street. This is followed by an evening musical and fireworks show held in Bellerive and Maisonneuve Parks.

In celebration of Quebec's Saint Jean the Baptiste day, this day-long festival features a grand parade, an array of family activities and a concert showcasing French Canadian artists. The holiday parade route follows Sherbrooke street from Parc Baldwin to Parc Maisonneuve, where the remaining festivities occur.

Launching from Fort and Ste-Catherine Streets at noon, Montreal's Saint Patrick's Parade is a major annual event that has been held since 1824. Headed by a monumental replica of Saint Patrick himself, the parade celebrates the patron saint of Ireland, Montreal's Irish community and the coming of spring. Join a crowd of more than half a million on the Sunday before Saint Patrick's Day to watch the spectacle march through downtown Montreal.
